Galway Hooker Sailboat - Wall Ornament

In the past, these were used for everything from fishing to transporting livestock, turf, and general cargo, as well as everyday travel between the islands and coastal towns. Today, you’ll still see them at summer regattas, in the small seaside villages of Connemara, and across Galway Bay.

These are made of crushed stone, resin and wire for the rigging.
